Hi,

wie kommst du darauf, dass das überhaupt mit .Net zusammenhängt? Auf dem ersten Screenshot sehe ich, dass du startx aufrufst, und dass das wohl nicht funktioniert. Weiterhin existiert ein Logfile, das etwas mehr Informationen preisgeben sollte. "Geht nicht" ist leider für eine Hilfestellung extrem unzureichend.

Die VM ist folgende: OVH SSD Series

Puh, ich bin ein Unix laie, ich war froh den FTP und Webserver zum laufen zu bringen...

Ich hab damals in der Schule mal KDE mit Desktop Enviroment installieren können / müssen.

Das wars aber auch.... bis der Apache2 und FTP liefen hab ich die VPS 5x platt machen müssen. Zudem ich mir dazu jetzt eine ausführliche und Idiotensichere Anleitung geschrieben habe :P

moment, also du versuchst über SSH (putty) deine grafische Oberfläche aufzurufen? Das geht natürlich so nicht.

Was du machen kannst ist, dir lokal einen X-Server (Xming X Server for Windows - Official Website) zu installieren und die Grafik bei dir lokal anzeigen lassen (https://wiki.utdallas.edu/wiki/display/FAQ/X11+Forwarding+using+Xming+and+PuTTY).

Alternativ musst du dich über VNC o.ä mit dem Server verbinden.

Stop SRY für die Missverständnisse. Also nein. Ich habe momentan 5 vServer (2 Webserver, 2 FTP Server und einen TestServer) die 2Apache und 2 FTPs laufen wie sie sollen.

Auf dem TestServer soll eine nun GUI nachinstalliert werden, da ich dort ein ganz kleines simples .net Programm in c# geschrieben via WINE testen will.

Ein Webserver ist nicht unbedingt die geeignete Maschine, um in einer Desktopumgebung C#-Programme zu testen. Und wenn das eh schon VServer sind, warum keinen Windows VServer. Der hat sogar eine GUI und man kann .NET ohne mono testen.

was ich etwas schade finde ist, dass du offenbar nur den Satz gelesen hast der dich interessierst. Wenn du meinen ganzen Post gelesen hättest, hättest du dir deinen komplett schenken können.

Aber dennoch ist meine Aussage nicht falsch, denn was der TE versucht hat war ja die komplette Desktop Umgebung über Putty aufzurufen (mit startx), und dann zeig mir mal bitte wie man das tunneln können soll.

Ich rede mich einfach damit heraus, dass der TE nur einen Shell Screenshot gepostet hat und man natuerlich von nativem Linux OS ausgeht wo dann ja offenbar eine Oberflaeche installiert sein muesste um den Screenshot ueberhaupt machen zu koennen, womit es ganz klar sogar nativ funktionieren wuerde? *hust*

Wie gesagt habe ich mehere vServer. Einer davon ist ein Debian7 auf dem eine GUI laufen soll.

Keine meiner Webserver hat eine GUI.

Windows vServer brauchen viel zu viele Ressourcen für ein derartiges kleines Tool.

Lieber eine GUI auf einem Unix.

Du weißt nichtmal um welche Art Programm es sich handelt, hinterlässt aber nichts weiter als Postfarms. (mMn).

xming ist lokal installiert. Und unter SSH wird alles auf localhost:0 geforwarded.

Leider bekomme ich bei startx immer noch die selben Fehler.

PS: Ja habe ich, ich ging davon aus, dass Putty sowas von selbst schon kann.

Dann lieber Windows emulieren auf einem VServer?

Wenn man den nutzen der Anwendung betrachtet wäre ein Windows Server viel zu überdimensioniert.

Außerdem stehen mir pro VM max. 1vCore und 2GB vRAM zu verfügung.

EDIT: ich will echt nicht unhöflich klingen, aber ich habe nie danach gefragt welche emulation sinnvoll ist und welche nicht.

Des Weiteren sind das doch alles meine Probleme ob ich eine GUI brauche die an diesem Punkt evtl. unnötig ist.

Selbst wenn ich auf dem WebServer ein GUI will. Selbst wenn ich auf nem FTP Server ne GUI will was nochmals unnötiger wäre als bei dem Webserver.

Ich habe lediglich Hilfe gesucht wie ich diese GUI und dann eine Windows Emulation zum laufen kriege. Nicht nach Performance &/oder Security-ratschlägen.

Die Hilfe wurde dir doch auch schon gegeben.

Nimm's uns nicht krumm, aber wenn hier jemand schreibt, er habe einen FTP und einen Webserver eingerichtet, aber auch sagt, er sei ein Linux Laie, haben die meisten hier halt starke Bedenken.

Dann auch noch die unzureichende Fehlerbeschreibung und ein Thema was schon zigmal abgefrühstückt wurde, ergo leicht über google auffindbar ist.

Weshalb bedenken? Den Apache und Webserver hab ich nicht sofort hinbekommen. Mehrere anläufe. Das beide so stabil laufen und die hohen Userzahlen aushalten wundert mich selbst.

Naja, leider finde ich keine brauchbaren Infos via google. Evtl weil mir die Thematik nicht wirklich geläufig ist.

Gut Fehlerbeschreibung hab ich doch geliefert, den gesamten Log und was ich machen mag (startx) und was passiert bzw. nicht passiert.
