Hallo.

Es ist ja z.B. so, dass alle Daten aus dem Arbeitsspeicher gelöscht werden, sobald der PC kurze Zeit ohne Strom ist - Den Vorgang nennt man dann flüchtig, da die Daten nicht gespeichert werden.

Gibt es einen englischen Begriff für flüchtig?

Ich meine so etwas schon gehört zu haben.

meinst du vielleicht löschbar, also eraseable ?

"flüchtig" könnte zum beispiel fleeting oder transitory heissen

Jupp. Der Begriff "Fleeting" bezeichnet eher Personen oder auch Eindrücke die "flüchtig" sind, wird aber im Sprachgebrauch nicht allzu häufig verwendet.

Volatile für flüchtig ist wohl richtig.

Dennoch, der flüchtige Arbeitsspeicher wird als DRAM bezeichnet, also als Dynamic RAM, weil er eben dynamisch refresht werden muss.
