Hallo.

Gibts eigentlich HVD-Controller für Ultra320-SCSI?

Hintergrund der Frage: ich finde die Information nicht, ob der IBM "43W4324" von Seite IBM ServerProven System x and xSeries compatibility

nun HVD oder LVD ist.

Wikipedia hört sich so an, als sei HVD nur ein "kurzfristiger Irrweg" gewesen, und LVD nun das auch alles kann.

Samstag nachmittag kann man kaum noch jemand anrufen, Ostersamsag schon gleich gar niemanden.

HVD war eine Spezifikation von SCSI 1, 5 MB/s.

Was willst du denn für antike Hardware anschliessen, dass du HVD brauchst? Ab SCSI U2(W) (40 MB/s bzw. 80 MB/s) wird LVD verwendet.

SCSI U320 basiert in diesem Sinne auf SCSI U2(W) und ist demnach LVD. Bitte nicht mit SCSI SE (SCSI 2) verwechseln.

Ein LTO2-Bandlaufwerk würde ich nicht direkt als "Antik" bezeichnen.

Gut, das LTO2 von Windows-Server war LVD, aber das an der AS/400 äh iSeries äh System-i war HVD.
