Moin moin,

sitz gerad mit nem Kollegen zusammen und wir hängen bei dem Problem: Was bedeutet autoritativ/nicht-autoritativ im Zusammenhang mit DNS? Wikipedia und Google - Texte konnten uns nicht wirklich weiterhelfen. Wir sind zu doof :)

Ein authorative DNS-Server ist der DNS-Server, der die angefragte DNS-Domain in seiner eigenen lokalen Zonendatei hat.

Ein non-authorative DNS-Server antwortet entweder aus seinem lokalen Cache oder fragt durch Iteration bzw. Rekursion andere DNS-Server.
