VMWare - Probleme mit Serieller Schnittstelle und NT4

Hallo!

Habe auf dem VMWare Server 1.0.9 eine NT4 Maschine laufen. Die ist über eine serielle Schnittstelle mit einer Maschine verbunden. Anfangs funktionierte die Verbindung nicht. Also hab ich ein bisschen an der Baud rumgespielt und siehe da es läuft. Jetzt unterscheidet sich die Baud des Gastsystems von der VM. Nun verhält sich die Maschine gelegentlich falsch. Meine Frage:

Muss die Konfiguration der seriellen Schnittstellen der VM mit der des Gastsystem übereinstimmen? Also Baud, Datenbits, Parität, Stopbits und Protokoll.
