Hallo,

da Diameter ja der nachfolger von Radius ist wollte ich mal fragen ob und wo es Switches mit entsprechendem Support gibt und ob sich der Diameter Server sehr vom Radius unterscheidet?

hab beim Googlen leider nichts gefunden.

Diameter ist noch Zukunftsmusik. Ich habe es bisher nirgends produktiv im Einsatz gesehen. Von Cisco-Geräten wird Diameter bisher meines Wissens nach nicht unterstützt.

Diameter ist mit ein paar Abstrichen abwärtskompatibel mit RADIUS (auch wenn wiki etwas anderes sagt).

Anonsten kann ein Blick in den Base-RFC nicht schaden:
