Ich habe ein Notebook ohne CD-Laufwerk vor mir liegen und dies soll mit Windows XP Pro neuinstalliert werden. Einen Boot Stick mit der Installation habe ich schon erstellt, allerdings will das Notebook nicht vom Stick starten. Was kann ich da machen?

Das Acer (TravelMate 380) ist schon etwas älter...

Ggf. das BIOS anpassen. USB CD-ROM Laufwerk nutzen, PC CD-ROM Laufwerk in externem Gehäuse per USB, booten / installieren via Netzwerk (PXE). Festplatte in ein anderes Notebook mit CD-ROM-Laufwerk einbauen (Setup im Textmode und mit dem Neustart vor GUI zurückbauen).
