*.pl in *.cgi umbenennen.....!?

Hallo,

ich habe meine *.pl datei in *.cgi umbenannt, und es funktioniert so weit(kein problem). Hat jemand vielleicht erfahrungen gemacht in wie weit wir das umbenennen können, welche vor- bzw. nachteile hat es ?

Das kannst du insoweit umbenennen, wie dein Webserver es Handhaben kann.

CGIs werden entweder aufgrund der Extension identifiziert (eben .pl, .cgi, .php, .exe, ...) oder dadurch das sie in einem bestimmten Pfad liegen (/cgi/xyz.bla). Zudem müssen die CGIs natürlich ausführbar sein.

Alle diese Möglichkeiten sind optional und müssen nicht von deinem Webserver unterstützt werden.
