Ich hatte gerade das Problem, dass auf einem XP Pro SP3 Client der Ordner C:\Windows\Installer ca. 13GB groß war. Aus Platzgründen wollte ich da natürlich etwas aufräumen....

Ich habe nun im Netz recherchiert und herausgefunden, dass das Tool MsiZap.exe von Microsoft diesen Ordner bereinigen kann. Das Tool habe ich mit dem Parameter "G!" ausgeführt und es sind 11.5 GB frei geworden. (Löscht nur verwaiste Dateien aus dem Installer-Ordner)

Ich wollte Fragen, ob schonmal jemand Probleme mit dem Tool gehabt hat, wenn im späteren Verlauf erneut Software installiert/deinstalliert/geupdated werde sollte? Denn MS stellt dieses Tool nicht mehr einzeln bereit, sondern nur noch über die "Microsoft Plattform SDK".
