Hallo, 

Ich hatte einen Dual Boot mit Windows 7 und Ubuntu 16.04.

Beim Versuch Ubuntu zu entfernen bin ich leider beim Neustart in der grub rescue gelandet. 

Jetzt habe ich einen bootfähigen USB Stick mit Ubuntu 20.04, komme aber nicht weiter. 

Dateien sind gesichert und Ziel ist, dass Ubuntu 20.04 läuft. 

Im Bild sieht man was ich probiert habe und das jeweilige Ergebnis.

Wenn dem so ist, dann einfach direkt vom USB Stick booten. Ubuntu erkennt die Windows Installation. Du musst dann nur die alten Partitionen von der alten Ubuntu Installation entfernen. Anschließend den Assistenten nutzen, damit dir Ubuntu neben Windows installiert wird. ;)
