Zu deinem Problem:

Das beste was ich dir empfehlen kann ist das Java Tutorial von Sun. Ich hab dann aber auch noch die Java-Einführungen von Hubert Partl und CM's Java Tutorial zur Hand.

Stimmt! Die Suchfunktion im Forum wirkt manchmal Wunder. Naja, nicht wirklich. Aber fast. :D
