Printerdefinitonsdatei unter Samba 2.2.3 a notwendig?

Hallo,

mir hat jemand erzählt das man unter Samba 2.2.3a die Printerdefinitionsdatei nicht mehr braucht. Stimmt das?

was meinst du mit Printer-Definition???

den Druckertreiber?

ich meine die datei printer.def

also meinen Wissens brauchst Du unter Linux eine Druckerdefinitionsdatei, die einem Druckertreiber wohl ähneln sollte, nur wird unter Linux eine Text-Config-Datei verwendet.

dort steht z.B. sowas wie

lp|raw...: anweisungen

drin.

Unter Windows brauchst Du dann nur noch die Share angeben, auf die der Drucker hören soll - z. Bleistift \\Server\drucker

mehr bräuchtest du auch nicht - doch nen samba server, damitte shares freigeben kannst
