Wer hat einen Tipp bezüglich Outlook, Mail und Umlaute?

Immer mehr Mails, die ich bekomme, haben ein Problem mit den Umlauten, die Einstellungen von Outlook sind okay, ebenso von Exchange.

Schon mahl etwas in dieser Richtung mitbekommen, hat es event. Etwas mit dem Virus ILOVEYOU zu tun?

Wenn es nur einige Mails betrifft, könnte dein Mailserver so eingestellt sein, das er nur 7-bit Zeichen durchläßt (standard ASCII). Alle Zeichen über #127 funktionieren dann nicht mehr (z.B. Umlaute smile.gif.

Check deinen Mailer noch mal auf 7bit/8bit Einstellung und bitte den Admin deines Mailservers, selbiges zu tun.

Hi,

das liegt an den Codepages. Jemand schickt Dir eine Mail zu mit deutscher Codepage, und diese wird auf einem Server mit deutscher Codepage gespeichtert - das wars auch schon mit den Umlauten.
