gibt es bei mutt sowas wie einen Postausgang?

In Deiner ~/.muttrc sollte folgender Eintrag stehen:

set record=+outbox # mail gets to =outbox when no coresponding folder

Dann werden alle ausgehenen Mails in der outbox gespeichert
