Hallo IT`s ..

Wollt nen Server zusammenbauen ...

Auf dem ASUS P4B533-E ist nen Promise Raid Controller onboard.

Ich wollt daran an sich 2 WD1200JB HDD`s laufen lassen ...

Der Controller findet aber keine Festplatten.

Hat vielleicht jemand die gleiche Konfiguration mal ausgetestet ?

oder alternativ welcher Raidcontroller läuft mit 2 WD1200JB ?

Hatte angedacht die Platten zwecks Ausfallsicherheit zu spiegeln.

Der PC wird ein Server zur zentralen Speicherung von Image`s.

Tja .. wie so oft war die Lösung des Problems wohl menschliches Versagen ..

Die WD-Platten waren auf "Master with Slave present" gejumpert.

Hingen aber jeweils alleine als Master am IDE-RAID-Controller.

Nachdem ich den Jumper entfernt hab liefen die Platten beiden. Und sie laufen gut.
