weiß jemand nen guten Videoplayer unter Linux, der auch Divx-Filme abspielen kann.

hab den divxPlayer von www.divx.com heruntergeladen, entpackt, installiert, läuft einmal und ab dann lässt er sich nicht mehr starten (Speicherzugriffsfehler).

Mir hat mal jemand den mplayer empfohlen. Was meint ihr?

Wie siehte eigentlich mit den neuesten codecs und so weiter aus? Wie krieg ich die in die libs?

probier mal XINE. Zu finden unter http://xine.sourceforge.net/

Ist ziemlich klasse und wenn du den DivX-Libs installiert hast, dann läuft selbiges auch.

Das ist meine Wahl ;)

Also ich finde den Mplayer am besten. Xine hat zwar eine schöne Oberfläche aber vom Können und von der Leistung her würde ich eher den Mplayer einsetzen.
