AUTH Mechanismus für den Sendmail SMTP Server

Hallo ihr,

Ich habe hier einen Mailserver aufgesetzt mit Sendmail als SMTP server und Qpopper als Pop3.

Um etwas gegen die Spammer zu tun, würde ich den Sendmail gerne so konfigurieren, daß sich der User authentifizieren muß, entweder mit nem Passwort oder per "smtp after pop".

Wo stelle ich das beim Snedmail ein? Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen?

Hier ist eine Anleitung für Suse : http://server.1und1.com/root_server/howto/1.html

Die 2 benötigten Packete muß du allerdings vom Suse-FTP ziehen, da auf den angegebenen FTP nur von 1&1 Servern aus Zugriff ist...

Ich denke mal die Anleitung läßt sich auch auf andere Distributionen umsetzten...
