hi Leute kann mit jemand mal kurz erklären was man mit PAM machen kann?

PAM steht für "Pluggable Authentication Modules" und bietet diverse Möglichkeiten Benutzer zu authentifizieren. Mit PAM ist es z.B. möglich, Benutzer die sich an einer Linux Maschine anmelden über einen anderen Mechanismus als die klassische /etc/passwd zu authentifizieren, wie z.B. Smart Cards etc. Weiterführend ermöglich PAM diese Arten der Authentifizierung auf weitere Programme, wie z.B. Proxy-, FTP und Samba Server auszuweiten.
