CGI Anwendung mit Kylix 2: Probleme mit XMLDocument-Komponente

Ich entwickle gerade mit Kylix 2 (=Delphi 6 für Linux) eine CGI Anwendung. Ich benutze die XMLDocument Komponente, um in der Datenbank, auf die ich zugreife, statt 10 Feldern nur ein Feld zu haben (1 BLOB Feld vom Typ Text für den XML Code).

Das Speichern von Werten in meiner XML Struktur ist kein Problem, dies funktioniert bestens. Aber wie lese ich das alles wieder aus? Ich habe schon endlos viel versucht, aber es gibt ständig nur Zugriffsverletzungen und Fehlermeldungen die was von Variant erzählen.

Ich kann das BLOB Feld aus der DB auslesen und in die XMLDocument.XML.Text Eigenschaft packen. Danach setze ich XMLDocument.Active := true.

Aber was dann? Wer kann mir hierbei helfen?
