Cookies und Sessions gleich Probleme ?

Hallo,

Ich erstelle gerade eine PHP Anwendung. Dabei habe ich folgendes Problem.

Ich verwende Cookies auf der Client-Seite um Informationen über die eingestellte Sprache zu speichern, aber nur wenn eine Checkbox angeklickt wurde, falls nicht wird ein Session-Sprache erzeugt, je nach eingestelltem Eintrag in einer ComboBox.

Cookies funktionieren, Session nicht. Gibts es vielleicht irgendwelche bekannten Probleme, wenn man beides verwendet ???

Welche Einstellungen müssen eigentlich in der PHP.ini dahingehend gemacht werden, dass das ganze funktioniert ?

Für Anregungen und eure Hilfe bedanke ich schon mal im voraus !!!!!
