Hi Leute!

Hab ein System (480 GB) - 4 IDE Festplatten an einem Raid 0 Controller...

nun sind ca. 100 GB belegt... und ich moechte eine Festplatte abschließen.

Nun meine Frage: Kann ich einfach so eine Platte abschließen ohne Datenverlust?

Denn 3 wuerden genuegen :)

nein, nicht bei einem raid 0.

beim abklemmen (=ausfall) einer platte in einem raid-0-verbund kommt es zu einem totalen datenverlust.

raid 0 ist in dieser hinsicht nicht sicher und bietet auch keine datenredundanz.

lösung: die daten auf ein anderes medium sichern, raid auflösen, eine platte raus, raid neu aufbauen, daten rücksichern.

dann hat sich das erledigt ;)
