kann mir jemand erklären was JEDEC genau heißt. (Ausgeschrieben)

Weiß jemand was die genau machen? Die legen doch irgendwelche Standards für Hardware fest oder? Im Bereich Arbeitsspeicher oder so.

Ich bräuchte allgemeine Informationen über JEDEC.

JEDEC holds frequent meetings throughout the year in domestic and foreign locations. All standardization work takes place at these meetings; and companies must be a member to participate. Surveys are also often taken to find out what companies are doing in important areas which often lead to ballots. JEDEC members ballot proposals and vote via mail prior to meetings. Voting is then reported at the meetings and modifications to the proposals are made in response to comments that are made during balloting. After a ballot passes and comments are resolved and incorporated, the proposal goes to the JEDEC Board of Directors for final approval before publishing. After Council approval, JEDEC publishes the standard or publication and lists it in the annual catalog of EIA.
