ich habe ein Problem meinen Samba zu starten..

Meine smb.conf:

[global]

	workgroup = WORKGROUP

	os level = 2


	security = user

	encrypt passwords = Yes

	guest account = Nobody

	map to guest = Bad User

	interfaces = 192.168.150.1/255.255.255.0

	wins support = No

	character set = ISO8859-15

	client code page = 850

[homes]

	comment = Home Directories

	read only = No

	create mask = 0640

	directory mask = 0750

	browseable = No

Was habe ich falsch gemacht? Gibt es Log-Dateien, in denen mehr steht als nur "smbd failed" ??

Hast Du die Konfiguration bereits mit testparm geprüft?

mit "man samba" erhält man dazu folgendes:

testparm

The testparm utility is a simple syntax checker for

Samba's smb.confconfiguration file.

-----------------

testparm [ -s ] [ -h ] [ -L <servername> ] config filename [ hostname hostIP ]

-s Suppress prompt for enter

-h Print usage

-L servername Set %L macro to servername

-t encoding Print parameters with encoding

configfilename Configuration file to test

hostname hostIP. Hostname and Host IP address to test

against "host allow" and "host deny"

Poste nach der Benutzung doch mal die gefunden Fehlermeldungen, falls Du allein nicht weiterkommst.

Hm...also das scheint eigentlich okay zu sein:

Load smb config files from //etc/samba/smb.conf

Processing section "[homes]"

Processing section "[printers]"

Loaded services file OK.

Press enter to see a dump of your service definitions

Wenn die Konfiguration stimmt, beschreibe doch mal dein Problem genauer.

Bekommst Du irgendeine Fehlermeldung - oder hast Du einfach keinen Zugriff oder was? Es könnte ja zum Beispiel an einer falschen Rechtevergabe o.ä. hängen.

Samba müsste beim starten ja eigentlich diese Meldung bringen:

rcsamba start

Starting SAMBA nmbd done

Starting SAMBA smbd done

Kommt die Meldung?

wie soll ich das problem denn näher beschreiben?

meine smb.conf kennst du ja ... und starten tut er eben nicht,

obwohl testparm alles für okay hält

Übrigens: Wenn ich den Samba zwei mal hintereinander starte ohne vorher zu stoppen kommt das:

Starting SAMBA smbd  Warning: /var/run/samba/smbd.pid exists!

Merkwürdig, oder? Eigentlich sagt er ja, das Starten wäre fehlgeschlagen...Das soll mal einer kapieren! Na ja,Starting SAMBA smbd Warning: /var/run/samba/smbd.pid exists!

Hi,

in der sambd.pid steht die PID drin die Samba beim letzten start bekommen hat.

Lösche diese Datei, schau, ob noch ein samba Porzess läuft, wenn nicht dan kannst Samba starten und schon funzt es
