ich stehe kurz vor meiner IHK Prüfung und benötige Informationen über Itanium Prozessoren. Vergleiche zu IA32, Vorteile, Funktionsweise, u.s.w.

bei den Itanium bzw. Itanium (ia64) Prozessoren handelt es sich um eine komplett neue Architektur. Die vollständige Dokumentation gibts unter http://developer.intel.com/design/itanium/manuals.htm. Die Hardware-Architekturbeschreibung ist in ftp://download.intel.com/design/Itanium/Downloads/24870102.pdf zu finden, eine ausführliche Beschreibung der Software-Architektur (einschliesslich Befehlssatz, Instruction Groups, IA32-Features usw. gibts in ftp://download.intel.com/design/Itanium/Downloads/24870102.pdf.
