Hallo zusammen,

beim Booten von Win ME bekommt mein Bruder immer die Meldung: "Windows-Schutzfehler beim Initialisieren des Geraets PERF. Bitte neu starten." oder so ähnlich.

Was ist PERF?

Und wie kann man das beheben?

- Keine Ahung. Google hat zwei Treffer. Und die bringen einen nicht weiter.

Sieht nach einem Reg. fehler aus.

Ich kann nur raten. -> Festplatte als secondary in einen anderen Rechner bauen. Daten sichern und dann Format.

Sollte ein anderes OS zur verfügung stehen, wäre es nicht schlecht von ME wegzugehen. Win 2000 oder XP. Je nach System - Leistung

Übrigens habe ich es mittlerweile hinbekommen:

cd c:/windows/command 

scanreg /restore[/PHP]

Einen Eintrag auswählen und neu booten.
