HI @all,

kann mir mal einer sagen, was der Unterschied zwieschen einem Replicator und einer Dokingstation liegt ? Und wo liegen die Vorteile einer Dokingstation, bzw. was kann die Dokingstation was der Replicator nicht kann ???

Ein Port-Replikator führt nur die schon vorhandenen Anschlüsse des Notebooks weiter, um z.B. nur einen festen Platz zu haben, wo Drucker, Scanner, externe Tastatur, Mouse, Monitor etc. fest angeschlossen werden.

Bei einer Dockingstation gibt es manchmal die Möglichkeit, noch weitere Laufwerke oder Steckkarten (teilweise PCI, teilweise sogar AGP) einzubauen und die dann als Teil des Notebooks zu betreiben, wenn es in der Dockingstation hängt.
