Informix Online über unixODBC

Hat irgendjemand erfahrung mit der Geschichte?

Ich soll über unixODBC auf eine auf einem entfernten Server (WindowsNT) laufende Informix Online Datenbank zugreifen.

ich habe schon diverse Anleitungen u.ä. von Google durchstöbert.

Problem ist, dass ich beim isql-Befehl (der bei anderen DSNs funktioniert) nur die Meldung bekomme "CANNOT SQL connect".

Bei einem strace auf isql finde ich aber keinen Fehler, aber auch keinen Vesuch, einen Port nach draußen zu öffnen.

Ach ja, OS: Testsystem ist SuSE pro 8.2, soll irgendwann auf SLES 8 laufen.
