der "." sagt in der Praxis aus, dass deine dns anfrage im falle das es in keinem "normalen" dns server aufgelöst werden kann, an einen root server geht.

"intern" wir der "." immer an deine anfragen "angehängt", da wenn die ip von keinem "normalen" dns server aufgelöst werden könnte, gar nicht aufgelöst würde.
