Hallo @All!

Ein Kumpel von mir hat folgendes Prob:

Er möchte die Software "Visual C++" Version 6

auf einem Windows XP Rechner installieren.

Das komische dabei ist - er kann auf die Setup.exe

doppelklicken wie er möchte - nur das Setup-Programm

startet einfach nicht. Keine Reaktion.

Die CD haben wir auf Win 98, 2000, usw.

ausprobiert - dort wird das Programm einwandfrei

installiert.

Woran könnte das liegen?

(die neuesten Servicepacks sind installiert)

bin mir nicht ganz sicher, aber von wann ist die 6er version? vielleicht schon etwas älter?

vielleicht mal den kompatibilitätsmodus aktivieren?

Hallo,

schau mal im Taskmanager, ob das setup läuft (nachdem Du es angeklickt hast) und kontrollieren, ob nicht in einem der Windows TEMP Folder noch ein Setup-Programm liegt. Das kann manchmal Probleme bereiten (entweder passiert gar nichts oder es poppt das alte Setup hoch).
