Hi

Bei uns steht die Umstellung des zentralen Fileservers an. Bisher läuft eine Uralt Novell Version darauf und jetzt ist die Frage, was als Nachfolger kommt.

Ich hab dabei an AD gedacht, aber einige Leute haben mir gesagt, dass AD sehr aufgebläht und nicht so toll ist.

Gibt es noch gute Alternativen, die es sich lohnt anzuschauen? Vielleicht was aus dem Linux Bereich? Samba?

Zur Umgebung:

ca. 40 Clients mit Windows 2000

ca. 5 Clients mit Linux

LDAP Server für die Authentifizierung am Mailserver vorhanden.

Alle anderen Server sind fast ausschliesslich Linux

Für Meinungen wäre ich dankbar.
