Moin moin,

ich suche ein Tool mit dem ich Festplatten einrichten kann. Wichtig ist dabei, das es sich um eine externe Festplatte mit separatem Controller handelt. Die üblichen Tools wie Partition Magic oder auch die Datenträgerverwaltung von WinXP habe ich schon getestet. Leider hat es nicht funktioniert. ich bekam immer die Meldung: Formatierung fehlerhaft.

Wird die Platte (welche) vom Betriebssystem (welches) ordnungsgemäß erkannt? Über welches Interface wird die externe Platte angesprochen?

Schon mal beim Hersteller nach Empfehlungen geguckt?

Ggf. herstellereigene Diagnosetools incl. Low-Level-Formatierung probiert? Link dazu: Hardwareforum

Der Witz ist ja, das ich die 160GB Platte in mehrere FAT32 Partitionen aufteilen kann. NTFS funktioniert nicht und sobald eine der Partitionen größer als 30GB ist, tritt das oben geschilderte Problem auf. Zurzeit habe ich also eine externe HD die in mehrere 30GB große FAT32 Partitionen aufgeteilt ist :(
