kann ich RAISERROR bei eine Funktion benutzen, wenn nicht welche alternative bitet sich denn dan ??

Nein, du kannst das nicht benutzen, Functions sind allgemein ziemlich beschraenkt.

Alternativen sind die Verwendung einer Prozedur, oder eine Fehlerbehandlung im aufrufenden Code (was aber sicher nicht fuer alle Faelle taugt), oder halt einen Eintrag ins Application Log per xp_logevent.
