Mozilla läuft tierisch langsam

Hi,

habe auf einem Win98 SE ein Mozilla zu laufen (1.7.3).

Wenn Plug-Ins geladen werden (im Sinne nicht von Installiert, sondern von das die Seite ien vrohandenes Plug-In benötigt) und danach (also selbst wann man die Seite mit dem Plug-In verlassen hat), läuft Mozilla extrem langsam, permanent rödelt die Festplatte.

Das ist mir unter Linux (da habe ich ihn auch laufen) nicht passiert, da ist er gleichmäßig langsam (was aber an Linux und nicht an Mozilla liegt).

Allgemein läuft er auch nicht sehr schnell, wobei es nach der ersten Installation ordentlich lief.

Ach ja, Rechnerdaten:

AMD K6-2 500 Mhz

98 MB Arbeitsspeicher

Win98 SE
