Habe da mal ne Frage:

Ich habe nen P4 mit 3Ghz und momentan HT aktiviert.

Jetzt habe ich gestern ein Video encodiert und festgestellt, dass die CPU-Auslastung nur auf 70% war. Rechenlast wurde jedoch für "beide" CPUs angezeigt, es lied aber nur ein Thread mit 70%.

Also geh ich jetzt mal davon aus, dass der Encoder keine MultiCPUs unterstüzt.

Jetzt stellt sich mir nur die Frage, ob HT bremst, falls es nicht genutzt wird. Da es sich physikalisch ja nur um eine CPU handelt, dürfte das eigentlich nichts ausmachen, oder?

Ich hab bisher nur von ein paar Spielen gehört, die bei deaktiviertem HT schneller laufen als bei aktiviertem.
