Sondern nur als HTML-Formaz ausgegeben. Auf php MyAdmin ist German (de-iso-8859-1) eingestellt, kann da aber nicht auf universal wechseln. Im Browser (mozilla) ist die selbe Sprache drin, trotzdem werden die Zeichen nicht richtig dargestellt.

Entschuldige die blöde Frage, aber; wie hilft mir das weiter?

Bitte poste auch Dein verwendetes Datenbanksystem sowie die Versionen von phpmyAdmin und vom Datenbanksystem.

Man sollte vllt. die Umlaute schon vor dem Eintragen in die Datenbank maskieren. Also vllt. mal htmlspecialchars($string) vorher machen.
