Hi,

kann mir jemand sagen ob es eine Funktion gibt die Strings in Date castet bzw. überprüft ob es ein gültiges Datumsformat ist

und wenn ja wie heißt die Funktion ?

Schau' Dir doch mal die Klasse DateFormat an. Die bietet eine Methode parse(String) : Date.

Alternativ kannst Du, falls das Format sehr abweicht, auch Pattern bzw. Matcher bemühen.
