Hallo.

Unsere W2k-Fileserver ist zu langsam und hat Schwierigkeiten mit dem gruppenabhängigen X-Laufwerk.

a) Braucht er für 300 GB (gemischte Dateien) ca. 8 Stunden beim Backup (auf LTO1 an Adaptec29160). Server ist eine IBM x232 (Dual P3-1266, 1 GB Speicher). Software ist BackupExec 8, mit Veritas-Treibern.

Was kann man tun?

RAID-Adapter ist ein Serveraid-4mx, also nicht der allegrösste.

Hat jemand Erfahrung mit Austausch gegen "was grösseres" (z.B. Serveraid-7)?

B) Anwender klagen, der Server sei schlagartig langsamer geworden, d.h. eine cAE-Anwendung (EPlan 5.70) braucht jetzt genau doppelt so lang wie vorher beim Erzeugen des Schaltplans. DNS ist halbwegs sauber, letzte installierte Software auf dem Server ist SP4 (schon ne weile her).
