Hallo,

wie kann ich den X-Access unter Fedora Core 4 erlauben?

Ich muss auf einen entfernten Server ein:

export DISPLAY=workstation:0.0 machen

Lokal auf meinen Client habe ich schon

xhost + gemacht.

Bei SUSE 9.3 war das ja auch nochmal extra in einer Konfigurationsdatei disabled.

Ist das bei Fedora Core 4 auch so? Wenn ja wie kann ich es wieder enablen?

Und bitte keine Ratschläge mit:

ssh -X oder ssh -Y ..... ich weiss das es sicherer ist, aber wenn es die Anwendung auf den entfernten Server nicht kann, nützt es mir nichts.

Btw. ich benutze KDE....

Habs gefunden:

/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf die Zeile:

DisallowTCP=false

Vorher war X mit "-nolisten tcp" gestartet....
