Ich habe irgendwo auf meiner Webseite einen Text.

Dieser Text erbt diverse Style-Sheet Angaben von darüberliegenden Elementen, z.B. von <li>, <ul>, <td>, <table>, <p>.

Nun möchte ich an dieser Stelle verhindern, dass der Text diese Informationen von seinen "Eltern" erbt. Geht das irgendwie?

Nur indem du den Style an dieser Stelle überschreibst. Woher sollten die Eigenschaften an der Stelle denn sonst kommen, wenn nicht vom darüberliegenden Element?
