debian .Xdefaults und .xinitrc

hi

ich hab bei debian das problem das er mir die .xinitrc und die .Xdefaults ignoriert. will das er beim starten (fluxbox) von der .xinitrc aus die slitlist startet und in der .Xdefaults hab ich drinstehen das aterm transparent ist nur wir beides ignoriert. hatte früher das gleiche unter suse dort ging es, muss ich bei debian was spezielles einstellen??
