fedora linux - backspace taste fügt leerzeichen ein?!

Hi,

hab ein komisches problem,

wenn ich in der shell die backspace taste drücke, wird zwar das entsprechende zeichen gelöscht, aber es wird auch automatisch wieder ein blank eingefügt, hat jemand ne idee, wo ich das abschalten kann??
