Hallo.

Wer hat Erfahrung mit Storage-Konsolidierung (Umstieg SCSI --> SAN), d.h. ca. 25 Server (1 TB netto) von direkt angeschlossenen SCSI-Platten auf SAN, z.B. DS4300 von IBM.

Das ist ja anders teuer?

Bisher haben wir SCIS-ICP-Controller (z.B. 4513, 8514) mit jeweils 128 MB Cache onboard, also eigentlich genügend "Dampf" geschwindigkeitsmässig. Bloss halt nicht so

flexibel, weil eben direkt angeschlossen.

Scheint auch gar nicht so einfach zu sein, ne Platte zu tauschen, jedenfalls nicht so einfach wie bei gewöhnlichen Hotplug-SCSI?
