hi,

mal ne frage:

habe red hat linux und es geht um den file /etc/sysconfig/network...

darin gibt es einen eintrag "hostname", spielt es da eine rolle ob ich den Fully Qualified Domain Name nehme oder den normalen hostnamen???

bzw. hat es irgendwelche auswirkungen, wenn ich da nur den einzelnen hostnamen hinschreibe, also nicht fqdn???

was mir aufgefallen ist, wenn ich uname -a angebe, wird da das angezeigt, was in der network datei steht. Gibts es sonst noch auswirkungen?
