CDs werden nicht erkannt

Ich hab folgendes Problem:

Mein PC erkennt zwar DVDs, aber keine CDs, trotz CD/DVD-Laufwerk. Also hab ich jetz mal ein CD-Laufwerk eingebaut (hab auch schon alles versucht von wegen Master, Slave, Cable Select, nur zum Testen), aber selbst da passiert nichts. Der PC "tut so", als wäre keine CD drin. Dabei wird das Laufwerk auch im BIOS angezeigt.

Könnte das am Treiber liegen? Wenn nicht, kann mir jemand sagen was ich da machen kann?
