    Raid-Controller

    ErikM hat einem Thema gepostet in Hardware
    Hallöle, ich spiele mit dem Gedanken für meinen Server einen Raid-Controller zu erwerben. Ich lasse dort virtuelle Maschinen mit Hyper-V laufen. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass erst bei 400 € aufwärts die gängigen Controller Raid 5 zulassen. Auch ist die Cache Ausstattung der Controller im 200-300 € Segment gering bzw. nicht verfügbar. (gerade bei Broadcom/Avago). Nun meine Frage : Taugen Raid-Controller ohne Cache ? Kann jemand welche empfehlen und warum ? Braucht man überhaupt noch Hardware-Raid oder taugt beispielsweise auch Windows Storage Spaces etwas ?
