Iframe laden und Javscriptfunktion daraus aufrufen

Ich hab auf meiner Seite einen iframe und einen Button. Wenn man auf den Button klickt wird eine andere Seite in den iframe geladen (per location.href).

Sobald die Seite geladen wurde möchte ich aus der Hauptseite eine Javscriptfunktion aus der Seite in dem Frame aufrufen.

Das Problem ist jetzt das ich die ja erst aufrufen kann sobald der iframe mit dem Laden fertig ist, aber wie bekomme ich mit das er Fertig ist?

ich würde die aufzurufende funktion als GET parameter übergeben und innerhalb des IFrames per body_onload prüfen ob eine Funktion aufgerufen werden muss.
