Hallo, ich bin ein ziemlicher Linux-Neuling.

Habe grundlegendes Wissen, abe rhalt nicht wirklich Ahnung.

Ich muss auf einem debian-linux mysql 3 installieren.

Auf dem System ist mysql 5 drauf, aber ich brauche

ür eine bestimmte Anwendung mysql 3.

Kann mir da einer eine grobe Anleitung geben, wie ich da vorgehe?

Über eure Hilfe wäre ich echt froh.

könntest du mir den befehl zum compilieren geben?

hab das noch nicht oft gemacht.

und laufen mysql5 und mysql3 dann einfach nebeneinander?

muss ich mysql3 einfach nem anderen port als dem standardport geben...
