Hallo

Ich haben eine Linux dem ich keinem Monitor spendiert habe, nun laß ich ihn immer über telnet runterfahren. Jetzt wäre es auch gut, wenn er sich bemerkbar machen würde wenn ich ihn ausschalten kann. Ich weiss, dass es bei SuSE funktioniert, doch bin ich jetzt bei RedHat, und da funktioniert das nicht. Was muß ich denn da machen?

Unter SuSE gibt es ein alias "beep":


heaven:~ # type beep

beep is aliased to `echo -en "\x07"'

Sowas einfach an geeigneter Stelle in die Init-Scripte einpflegen.
