Hallo.

Habt ihr schon Erfahrungen mit dem Umstieg von Server 2008 auf RC2 gemacht?

Wenn ja.. was gibt es beachten?

Ich habe jetzt kein Umstieg gemacht ^^

Aber ich wollt mal was schreiben.

Also ich war auf der Microsoft Joint Launch und die haben Server2008R2 vorgestellt. Sie sagten das man nicht Upgraden kann, weil bei R2 der Kernel kommplet verändert wurde. Deshalb nur durch formatieren.

Außerdem ist R2 Stromsparender. Bei einem Server mit 4 CPU Kernen, werden nicht alle Kerne bis zu 25% genutzt, sondern nur einer bis 100%. Erst wenn der Server noch mehr Leistung braucht, schaltet sich der nächste Kern an.

Was die noch so gesagt haben, weiß ich nicht mehr. Hätte mir Notizen machen sollen :(

Hm... war das jetzt eine Empfehlung???

Weiß jemand... was der Spaß kosten tut??? Ich find im Inet leider keine Upgrade-Funktion ... und neu kaufen ist wohl auch nicht der Hit... :-)
