Intel 82801GR/GH unter Linux überwachen?!

Hi,

ich würde meinen Intel 82801GR/GH (ICH7 Family) Raid Controller gerne unter Linux (CentOS5) überwachen können (Zustand des Raids etc.).

Bisher war meine Suche nicht sonderlich erfolgreich.

Kennt ihr da was?

a) Dir ist klar, daß der ICH7 ein so genanntes "Fake-Raid" ist - bei dem der Treiber die Hauptarbeit leistet, man im Gegensatz zu Software-RAID eben nicht mal die Platten an nen anderen Controller hängen kann, etc.?

(Ich sehe eigentlich nur Nachteile gegenüber "purem" Software-RAID)

B) Da solche Fake-Raids das kerneleigene DM-Raid nutzen: Alle Tools, welche auch ein Softwareraid monitoren funktionieren (cat /proc/mdstat, mdadm, etc.)
